  3. Hi Richard just been looking through the info about the Kerry Hills in the USA....They truelly are a brilliant breed and have loved having many running around my fields in the Uk,but am moving to Canada soon and will of course be looking to have some Kerry Hill ewes over there too:-)

  7. So excited for your work! In this day and age it is hard to believe that a particular breed of sheep is barred from entering the US! Deadly or dangerous viruses/diseases immigrate freely to the states from over seas, but a harmless BEAUTIFUL sheep is barred.
Where can I go to see your 'results'? If there is a short-list, PLEASE put me on it. THis is the sheep I truly want! -Laurel

  8. Richard your last comment on the 18th of June has me laughing as you must think like a animal. If you wish for ewes you will almost always get rams. Wish for the opposite. Farm those boys out and let them multiply. Norm Morgan

  9. Hi Richard, will you be selling any of your lower percentage ewes this coming year?

  10. I just saw your blog.

I am a Brit ex/sheep and beef farmer from the UK now settled in the States....now off the land but still a country boy.

FYI. We ran Kerry Hill sheep for many years on our farm in South Shropshire. One of my earliest memories was attending the annual autumn sheep sale at Kerry Station when the breed was still of some significant economic importance.

We lived very near the Clun valley and as a consequence the Kerry Hill and Clun Forest sort of competed for popularity in our area. I do remember the massive ewe sales in Craven Arms back in late 60's and early 70's where literally thousands of mostly Cluns but some Kerrys were sold in one day.
